In for repairs
I’m afraid some bodywork repairs were needed today.
The old psoas was playing up again with a vengeance. My fault for not doing my exercises I suppose, but I’ve been so free of back and other abdominal pains for so long I just got complacent. (TOUCH WOOD!)
It was back in 2012 that I first found Gareth, and he put to rights years of fruitless examinations and hospital appointments with so-called specialists covering a range of problems including bowel, bladder and stomach pains, let alone my back which is what I took to him.
I’m afraid that the NHS (like most of the medical fraternity, worldwide,) suffers from a lack of ‘joined up medicine’. The psoas (along with the iliacus often referred to as the iliopsoas) is often called the ‘great pretender’ because when in spasm it causes a multitude of other seemingly unrelated problems as well as pulling the spine out of shape.
I feel better after that . . .
