Foghorn

The little white building is the foghorn at the very end of our road. Often we wake to its sound when the sea mist has closed in.

It was the most beautiful Sunday and you can even see the island of Jersey in the distance which is about twenty miles away. It used to take us about four hours to sail there in our sailing boat. Mostly because the harbour is on the south side of the island and so it involves sailing all along the south coast too. The fast ferry (which isn't very reliable) takes an hour and flying time is fifteen minutes.

Mrs BR and Miss T again spent the day working on food technology and this week it was sticky toffee puddings with caramel swirls and banana icecream. Miss T will be doing these at school tomorrow but likes to work through it at home first. (photo in extra)
