Friends and Flowers and Green

We slept very well in our room and started the day with a hearty breakfast. Then Day 18 of yoga, and after that we headed north, up to Daveen and Mike outside Mourão.
This is our first visit in January and I couldn't get over how green it all is, and all the flowers. We were wading through flowers and grass.
Jan and I are used to the mid-Sweden winter light where the sun is always low in the sky and daylight is tinged with the tones of sunrise/sunset, even at midday. Here the sun is high in the sky and the light makes us think of summer, but the cold wind reminds us it is January.
Dinner at Sem Fin, with some other people we know here, also reminded us it was winter as it was very chilly inside that large space. Fortunately we were sat right next to the stove and some warmth leaked out into our corner of the restaurant. The warmth of the company and the beautiful food made up for the chill in the air.
