Fiery sky
A couple of hours' working in the 'yard this morning, until I started to feel too cold. The forecast sunshine failed to materialise, and I hadn't counted on an increasingly strong, icy wind that managed to penetrate several layers of clothing!
We decided to treat ourselves to a meal out this evening, and set off mid- afternoon. Stopped on the way for a very short walk up to the cup-and-ring marked stone by the Simonside Hills. While we were there the heavy cloud started to dissipate, and as we drove towards Elsdon the sunset was quite spectacular. The Blip was taken through the car window as MrM drove - nowhere to stop and a car behind us.
A very nice meal, as usual, at the Redesdale Arms, and home in time for 'Vera' on TV. An interesting episode, as we know most of the locations they had used for filming...
