Celtic Connections!!

Typical Saturday with a lie in, a slow start and late breakfast at Comet Pieces!
Neil then went for a shave and I went home.

In the evening (basically short after breakfast .. hahaha) we went to the 25 Years Ceolas concert at the Fruitmarket.

It was great to catch up with loads of folks from South Uist in the audience and the concert was fab too!
I even got a hug from Mairi V!
We met a lot of people after the concert outside and most were going to the Holiday Inn Bar.
We decided to walk there with Doris, who was also at the gig.
The Bar was packed and heaving.
We did find a table in the back and had another drink. Doris went to the House of Song then and I went for several wanders through the crowd to catch up with people I had not seen or talked to in years:
Allan and Euan Henderson, Charlie McKerron, Donald Shaw, Jarlath Henderson, Brian & Ethne Valely, Ewan Vernal, Allans Cousins Effie and Kathleen, Sarah Hoy, Finn Moore, Mairi Schmoller, Iain MacFarlane, Duncan Chisholm, Simon Bradley,  ..... trying to list them so I remember ....
I had a great night and Neil was very patient with me running around happily amongst the crowd.
Allan had vanished after the concert so no catching up with him.
His girlfriend also seemed not in the best mood ...

We left sometime after 2 am and went for a chippy .... then taxi home.

What a great night and hopefully not the only Celtic Connections experience this year .... Ewan is trying to get me on the guest list for Michael McGoldricks gig next Saturday ... :)
