Overcast

Its very, very windy here, and cold.  Although the cold is in part a factor of the wind chill.  

Interesting to be given advice when picking up the car at the airport on how to park it and open the doors so as to avoid their being very expensively damaged by gusts of wind.  We rejected the first car the hire company tried to give us as the front passenger door and fuel filler caps had clearly suffered exactly those problems.  It also didn't have proper winter studded tyres, and I think we are going to need those later in the week.  The second car was much better.

I've not taken many pictures today, a factor of the light, the wind and the rain.  Despite that we've been having a wonderful time and (largely) staying warm and dry.
