It was lovely to see Maggie and her owners canoeing on the river past my garden this morning.   I love how she sits at the prow of the canoe and watches the world go by.
There was a sharp frost this morning and the intention today was to cut back some of the spent perennial flowers but this was abandoned as I didn't want to disturb any little insects that might be overwintering on them.
