The First and Last

The beginning and end of this Sunday were quite dramatic but the bit in between was largely dull both climatically and in content.

The important thing I have realised somewhat late in life, in fact today, is that the amount of alcohol imbibed in an evening is in inverse proportion to the hours of sleep managed during the following night. In other words if I have 3 modest glasses of wine of a evening, I can expect to be wide awake until at least 4am. (I hope Bayleys doesn’t fit the rule!)
