It has been a fabulous day as most of the country has enjoyed wall to wall sunshine, if a tad chilly.
To make the most of it JD and I took the dogs on a long walk.
Starting (and ending) at Bovey Tracey, we had to battle our way through hoards of people walking dogs and cyclists of all ages, making their way along the disused railway line.
After the first mile the crowds dispersed and we were able to enjoy the birdsong in the woods.
The River Bovey was almost overflowing and in spate.
A cuppa break in Lustleigh before tackling the inclines up to Pethybridge after which it was pretty much downhill all the way back to the car.
Beautiful frosted leaves in areas not warmed by the sun.
A muddy and very wet walk but very enjoyable for us and the dogs.
