Calico Lounge

Despite the fact that we are hoping to move to Salford, one would be wrong to infer that my affection for Chorley has diminished. Even in these troubled times, it's a vibrant little place, helped in no small part (imo) by their excellent town council.

Due to some commendable judgement around parking charges - free for up to three hours - the town centre remains busy, there is the new cinema, and new bars and restaurants open regularly if not frequently.

Yesterday, this place, the Calico Lounge, opened up. Whilst her mum and sister glamorously went to the official opening last night, the Minx and I popped in for a drink this evening. It's quite a nice place, actually, although understandably - after only one day - still knocking off the rough edges. Not sure it'll become a regular haunt but I'll certainly go back.
