Just another day

Today Lauralea and I had a full day.

We went to town to be present at a funeral of the mom of a friend. She was just diagnosed with stage four lung cancer and passed suddenly. It was a sober thought on a cold day.

Then we drove the hour to the city hospital to see an older gal from church who was in line for a new hip. We stopped in at Costco and drove back home and get ourselves  out of the cold. 

Its fun to spend a day with her and even after all these years together we still laugh a lot, and that's a pretty great thing.

The pictures were few and far between today. This one was taken as we were at the Catholic church before the funeral. A fairly new building.

Anyway, scattered thoughts. Its good to be home and warm. We watched a "Lovejoy" tonight and now its time for bed, thankfully. The cold also makes one so tired.
