The Shard

Had a lot of fun doing a night photography session with Alex Macro in town the other night. He's a very entertaining guy - full of energy and enthusiasm. We had a load of fun stopping passers by and taking their portrait's.

His style is very different to mine. I tend to be somewhat ponderous, trying to think through the shot - asking myself why am I doing this - what am I trying to achieve. Alex tends to approach it almost as a performance. Control being somewhat secondary, the purpose being to use what's available to try to capture the essence of the person. All good fun.

Whilst walking around we saw The Shard which I thought was a better image than my portraits!
