Something different for our walk today, a walk round the old city of Bury St Edmunds which is in West Suffolk. The weather was very kind and we missed the rain which started just as we finished. I wonder how many people walking about know there is an observatory above the Cupola House  which was built in 1693 by Thomas Macro who was three times Mayor and a prosperous apothecary. We had a lovely Lunch in a tea room called Harriets  which models itself in the style of the 1930's.
