Today we took adavantge of the (relatively) good weather and headed to Tuillemet just past Ballinluig to head over to Loch Broom which we have spied from other walks we have done. 

It was a fair distance (4 miles there and 4 miles back) through farmland and moorland. I really enjoy the latter (providing there is a path) - a real sense of being away from it all with views of the surrounding hills. I also find that walking along old paths helps in developing my sense of the land and how the different parts connect together, which you dont get from driving. We were treated to blue skies and when we got the loch, the water (usige) was alovely shade blue. 

In today's other news I know have a new favourite Gaelic word - peathraichean (sisters). It is pronounced something like peri-kin and so one of the many words in which the pronouncation doesnt seem to bear any resemblance to the spelling but as you (slowly) get to grips with the language the link between the spelling and the pronouncation are recognisable and make sense. A step forward ! 

My previous favourite word was damhan-allaidh which means spider.
