Going home in the snow

We were at a meeting in a nearby house; glad to be walking home not driving.

I think I have fixed the central heating now. The boiler is in the cellar, which has an outside door. While I was changing the valve motor, a vole ran up to me. I tried to shoo it out, but it came back on the other side of the cellar a minute or two later, then ran to a hole where the gas pipe comes in. I don't know if it is coming in to forage, or living in the cellar and going out for food.
