Setting Off

Despite being very wet, the course was open first thing this morning. Here are my playing partners Phil (nearest) and Henri setting off in pursuit of their tee shots at the second.

The sunrise was misleading as, by the time we got to the 11th, it was tipping down with rain and blowing a gale, so we cut across to the 16th and headed for the clubhouse. It's very rare for us to give into the elements once we've started a round, so it shows how unpleasant conditions were - or maybe we're just getting old and / or sensible!

After I'd dried out, Tess & I enjoyed our normal Thursday afternoon routine with Sophie.
