Goodness? Surviving Burns?

Last week we mentioned that Robert Burns had been an influence on George Wyllie, and that this quotation in particular was a recurring motif in his work.

Today's blip show a couple of shortbread tins sculp?tures which are displayed on the wall at the exhibition. One of them, the one with the wee mouse keeling out, has this quotation at its base.

Increasing the happiness of others as the measure of goodness... now there's a thought. Always good to actually stop and think what Burns is saying, what Wyllie is suggesting.
