Ava

Ava is a young vivacious woman. She interviewed for a job with a large multinational retailer. She performed well, but ended up not being appointed.
Why?
Her birth certificate stated she was born a male. She had transitioned over 10 years. Prejudice eclipsed merit in the appointment.
With our help she settled the case for £9000 plus a commitment from the employer to work with us to improve practice. Sometimes I despair how much prejudice infects our society.
