Isla - Rook With A Book

This sculpture is on loan to Fowey until some time this year. It 'celebrates Daphne Du Maurier's legacy, inspiration and love of Fowey where she lived'. She of course wrote 'The Birds' adapted by Alfred Hitchcock.

In the background you can see Ferryside, the house where she lived and wrote her first novel in 1931. And there's another view of the Bodinnick ferry!

It was a lovely sunny day today, mrsfb's birthday. The sun shines on the righteous as they say!  She is now well and truly a WASPI woman!
