Bit of a brighter day today. Managed to get to our local art centre at the Atkinson to take a look at the Frank Hampson exhibition.
He created the comic strip hero Dan Dare and the boys comic “The Eagle”
Frank Hampson was educated at King George V grammar school here in Southport.
The Atkinson holds a permanent display of his life with some great examples of his work. There is also a statue of his most famous creation Dan Dare outside the centre.

On the way out I noticed there is an Egyptian exhibition next week that i will try to get to.

Iraq update
All quiet on the eastern front. It’s Matty’s birthday today and his objective is to not get his nose bashed in a boxing match he’s in later.
