I Do Like To Be By the Seaside ....

but not for long on a day like today ....

An early departure to get to town for Sing Together. That was fun, we have a full house this term and a waiting list. Will have to work hard to keep my place :-)

Afterwards, lunch in our favourite local cafe. It's over a month since we were last in, but we were warmly greeted with 'the usual'?  (Extra).

Next, a few errands. I had to go in search of (still more) fabric for the sampler quilt, and I managed to find what I wanted in the one and only shop in Edinburgh that sells this type of stuff. There are lots of really good places, but they are scattered through the towns of the central belt, not very convenient.

We had time enough for a quick walk on the prom at Portobello before the light went, and the knife-like wind drove us back to the car (via the Greek pastry shop, and a HUGE piece of baklava).

Now we're off to jig and reel, and dance off some of those calories ...
