Getting hot

A day of organising kit and sun protection for me followed by lazing in the shade reading the Goldfinch.
No permits for the Mexican border left by the time my place number of 7270 came up, makes you wonder how busy it is going to be. Anyhow, my application to start at Big Bear City is now in and it will give me a couple of extra weeks to play with for days off, no bad thing.
Heading off to the Gillespie pass tomorrow as the temperatures hit 30 degrees, not ideal for me but I guess it’s better than rain. Not sure there will be any coverage so I may not be posting for a couple of days.
