Early blossom

A fleeting glimpse of blue sky between rain showers so I ventured into the back garden with my macro lens. I spotted some blossom on a neighbour's tree behind our Lace Lady which has the two big branches either side of the blossom.  I don't know what the blossom tree is - possibly some sort of cherry?  Anyway it looked pretty, if a bit premature, so I thought it would be a nice blip for today.  I'm starting a photography course tonight so I'm a bit nervous.  I'm not too keen on starting things on my own as I'm rather shy but I make myself do it.  Anyway hopefully it'll help me improve my photography.  I'm always on the lookout for new ideas and techniques.  I'll let you all know how I get on!
