A long couple of days with learned women
Lorna was assessed for a University of Cambridge scholarship on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th December 1932.
Friday was a long day at Girton, starting at 8:20am with an interview with the Mistress (Helen Wodehouse). A second interview - this time with Miss Lloyd Thomas - followed at 9:00am. Presumably Lorna had the opportunity to have a good look around the college - and possibly Cambridge - prior to two further interviews in the late afternoon, first with Miss Murray at 5:15pm, and Miss Welsford at 5:50pm.
Her next commitment was the Advanced English exam the following day on Saturday 10th December.
