Some Days Are Just Icky
I'm taking the AARP online driver safety course. I get a discount on my auto insurance if I do every three years. After a 30 minute hold, sign in problem fixed. But that didn't bode well for the rest of the day.
I went to physical therapy where I was told I arrived two hours early so I drove home to get the sheet listing the appointments. Some of you might remember this happened before.
While in the office proving I was correct, my purse was stolen from my car which, in my pique, I had forgotten to lock. I didn't notice it was missing for over an hour, though.
In the interim, I drove to the casino 12 miles away to qualify for a free dinner promotion. After finally locating a place to park, I reached for my ID. No purse in the car, no wallet in my pocket.
Traced my steps back home and then to the PT parking lot at which point I called the Sheriff's Dept. Filed the report. Called my friend to cancel our afternoon concert arrangements because the tickets were in the purse. Got into physical therapy at the time they were expecting me. All of this happened by one o'clock.
I was able to get to the cafe for lunch before they closed. While there I got a call from the ortho brace shop in Tucson. (I edited out the long version.) -> All of which I found out didn't matter a hoot because for Medicare purposes a new one can't be ordered until Leap day.
By this time my blood pressure must have reached dangerous levels. I had the camera in the car (but no warm clothes because it was 75°/24°) so took a calming ride to Madera Canyon.
There was snow! I kept hoping one of the birds would pose nicely for me in a patch. The best I could do was squat down and follow this yellow-eyed junco pop around among those branches and rocks. I was able to do pretty well focusing on him behind the sticks, so that, my friends, is my tiny victory of the day.
and in another minor victory, I didn't slip in it and fall over the ledge while trying to get the shot! See extra.
