Post pub quiz

We were all excited for our friend Mario to arrive from Mexico today, we‘d planned a pub quiz for the evening.

At lunch I checked my phone to find a text from him „bad news“. With no more information, the group chat exploded with theories of him missing his flight, the flight getting cancelled or some other horrendous news. He’s already penniless and paying for subletting our room. He’s been camping around Mexico.

A few hours later, he’s back in the house (it was all his warped sense of humor), and we rambled down to the pub quiz. We lost. The team of middle aged people who always win, won.
