At least, I think that what they are. The distribution maps show them mainly to the east of Italy but a book of nesting birds in the Casentino national park shows them as being ubiquitous.
They come for the sunflower seeds we have hung out for them. A lovely cheery sight. They are insistent and bold.
This is a phone photo of the screen on the back of my Dslr camera. Currently without the means to load the dslr photos onto a computer.
