TAKEOFF

Everything takes energy (well I think its everything?) None less than a bird takeoff and these black swans run like mad for about 25 metres - wings flapping, feet sprinting and lungs pounding ! They takeoff into the wind and the assistance of the NE today helped.  Its called a black swan but it has a surprising number of white feathers which are not visible until the wings are extended. They can be quite aggresive when looking after youngsters. happy to have spent some time with about 30 of them today and enjoyed their takeoffs'.
