Why own a 4x4?

I tried to avoid a snow picture, but I love this of my son Aidan at the end of his first ever sledge run!

My question though is this: Why spend £60k on a range rover and then the first time an A road requires its skills, drive it at 16 mph? Do the owners think 4x4=16 and therefore that is the recommended snow speed?

I don't drive fast in snow but I do hate it when people go so slow I have to use 1st gear or breaks on a bloody hill.

Now we have had snow ball fights, sledging and pretty walks in the woods, can the snow kindly bugger off?
