Me, me, me!
Wetlands Bird Survey today. We were lucky in that the best weather of the day was from dawn until 10:30 when the sky was blue. Also for most of the route we were sheltered from the wind, so it was a pleasant walk. Nothing too surprising - we did see both Mistle and Song Thrush, which we haven't seen for a little while, and the numbers of Mandarin Ducks had increased to a staggering record number of 48. The males are in breeding plumage and are starting to display, like this one.
