Curlew
Storm Brendan has arrived. Currently we have high winds making a loud roaring noise in the trees at the end of our garden and a few twigs have fallen. The sheep in the field don't seem to mind the wind but Purdy hates it. The sky is grey and threatening although the forecast heavy rain has not yet arrived. The small birds seem to be sheltering today but bigger birds, like this curlew are still battling the elements. We are on spring tides at the moment so with a likely storm surge into the Bay there should be a significant bore and water right up to the prom in Grange at high tide today.
