A lot of letters but not mine

When I came back to the office after my trip to Prague I found my desk full with letters.
The company I worked for since '89 was acquired in '18, and as result of that many had to leave. E.g. in our office we are now down from 190+ to 15. Means we have no back office position. And I have turned to the maiden-of-all-work. I picked up our mail from the post office, 10cm high, before I went to the office, but my desk was full from last week.
Well, at least I do have work ;)
