Rainbow over St. Ives

Well done everyone who recognised St Ives from yesterday's blip. That view of Smeaton's Pier is one that's easily recognised by the many who've come to love this place.

It's been a day of rainbows. We walked down to the beach this morning in lovely sunshine and the light remained lovely as the skies darkened behind the pier. The rain started to fall and this beautiful double rainbow appeared, a full rainbow spanning the town.

Because of the position I was in I chose to zoom in on this portion as the beach, the shops and restaurants along the Wharf were so beautifully lit up.

I'd booked Gurnards Head for lunch so we drove out there later and then back a little to the supermarket to get some supplies. There was another dramatic rainbow to be seen as we drove home.
