Shag Rocks and at sea
I wonder why they were called that? You probably can't see from this image but there are thousands of blue eyed shags nesting on these rocks. You will just have to take my word for it.
We were woken at around 6.30 am to see these. The expedition staff were quite excited by them and we did a circuit of them just to me sure we got a good view.
These rocks (there apparently are six of them but I only saw 4) are 240 west of South Georgia. We are motoring to the Falklands and it will take us two days.
Lectures to educate us. Everyone seems to be coming down with a virus which has been named the Penguin Flu. We are calling the ship the plague ship.
