DERELICT SUNDAY #DS175

I actually had a temporary job in this old factory of Skellerup Industries here in Christchurch NZ.  It was in 1963 as I was waiting to be taken into Trentham Police Training school. The personel Manager was an Ex Mayor of Christchurch who was happy to take me on to do piece work in the Rubber Plant.  I spent my day cutting pieces of rubber to length - a very boring job but good for my patience for my career ahead.  How times have changed  - I was invited to wander around the site which is being set-up for a new Bunnings venture.
