Soaked

Parting shot on yesterday's blip was to be happy going out and getting soaked. We must be really happy in that case.

We took Archie and Caley to the west end of Loch Laggan. The water level there is directly related to the water level behind Laggan Dam. So, as as you can see (given that it is spilling with some enthusiasm) there was no big beach to play on. There was still lots of running about and swimming.
We stopped for a photo at the dam on the way home. With the big syphons open too this manmade waterfall is utterly spectacular. It is almost impossible to convey the sense of massive energy release on display as the water crashes down to the bottom of the gorge and then seems to rebound a hundred meters in the air as a plume of spray and mist.
