Winter Stroll

Lunch at the local garden centre was cancelled, understandably. So we got dressed in arctic gear and went a long walk. We were quite shocked at how other folk were dressed - very ill equipt.

We walked through the park route to Morrisons. At the traffic island there was a stuck lorry which had pretty much gridlocked the roads. By the time we'd had lunch and picked up a bit of shopping it had moved.

We walked back up the old A5. We easily outpaced the traffic, some of which was struggling on the snowy surface. We couln't resist an extended walk home. Very enjoyable seeing as we were well wrapped up. Our last section took up along the old lane. That's where I could stand under the underpass and take this pic of 'A'.

I saw a lonely little bird in our garden today. It looked lost, and it was desperate for food. Is it just a chaffinch or something more unusual?
