Collectors' Day

at the Florida Museum of Natural History. For Forty Years collectors of all stripes have been sharing their collections with the appreciative public. The gentleman in the blue uniform was representing an 1838 (pre-American Civil War) militiaman tasked with protecting the local settlers form the understandably irate Native Americans. He was demonstrating care of his weapon.
