Friday: More NYC

My last morning in NYC.  The weather was lovely and infinitely balmier than yesterday.

I had some business to attend to in the office but then headed out to enjoy a couple of hours before leaving for the airport.  I had intended to go to the Strand Bookstore but, instead, cut it short by a few blocks and ended up in Barnes and Noble’s flagship store on Union Square.  I had an enjoyable hour browsing and I am pleased to report that only two books have been purchased which is pretty abstemious for me.

I’ll definitely make it to the nirvana that is the Strand Bookstore next time.  Patti Smith used to work there, you know.

After getting some lunch I headed back out to Newark airport and am now safely ensconced back in Vancouver with K. and Barney.
