Buteo buteo, BUZZARD

I decided to go looking for Buzzards and Red Kites this afternoon, well after lunch actually. Not much luck with the Red Kites, they wouldn't come close enough. But this very handsome Buzzard did. And throughout the next hour I saw 5 of them. I liked this shot as it showed its outstretched wings with it's distinctive markings. Buzzards are 50-55 cm long with a wingspan of 130 cm They are resident with us in most parts of Scotland.
