Old Haunt

A spontaneous night out, something that doesn't happen very often! We left the kids at home and drove over an hour into Washington DC to one of my favorite bookstores, where in a different life (grad school days) I spent many hours reading, studying, and drinking coffee. My mom gave me a gift card to Politics & Prose for Christmas, so tonight I spent it on two gardening books that look fun and useful. The place was lively with a well-attended author talk and plenty of browsers. Good to see it thriving.
