Otters!

We had to take the car for new tyres and as we were walking over the Stramongate Bridge we spotted two otters!
They were casually swimming across the weir and then hopped out on the bank for a moment, before moving along the edge of the river and under the bridge.
In my not very good photo you may be able to make them out on the platform under the bridge!
They then turned back down the river and we went on.
Pity Rob didn’t have his big lens, but what a wonderful sight! Oh, and there was a kingfisher, a dipper and some goosander too!
