Touch of Green
This morning Suzanne and I visited a favorite location, about 45 minutes from home. As with any wildlife area, we never know what to expect. Activity was minimal, but the air was refreshing, we had a chance to catch up, and got a few steps in. There were more ducks and geese than anything else, although there was evidence of a great deal of beaver activity. Perhaps they sleep during the day??? I think the Northern Pintails are beautiful examples of the wonders of Mother Nature. The markings are special. While preening, this one allowed us a peek at the green inner feathers. I bet they make an awesome photo in flight. Maybe next time.
