After helping Mary with her cleaning job, Mary and I went down to Galashiels to buy a new loo seat for the toilet we have been decorating for some time now.  Afterwards, being rather desperate for something to eat and not having much time, we decided to nip across the road to Macdonalds - remind me never to go there again on a Friday afternoon!  I had clean forgotten that the schools shut on Friday afternoons and the whole of the local population of under 16s were already there.  Fortunately a couple of nice women offered us their seats, or we might never have found anywhere to sit.

There are some very interesting gravestones in the kirkyard at Stobo.
