Millicent

My Milly is named after the US oil heiress Millicent Rogers, who married three times and lived in more than a dozen places, was an independent and spirited force in fashion in the 1930s and '40s.
In particular Ms. Rogers traveled everywhere with seven beloved dachshunds. She had life jackets made for them to travel on ocean liners. She photographed them wearing pearls and with bandages on their heads to keep her company when she was convalescing.
My Milly refuses to be an accessory. Like Ms Rogers, Milly does not suffer fools either.
When an overbearing host challenged Millicent Rogers on her lack of attentiveness at a Hollywood dinner party by asking, "Am I boring you, Millicent?" she replied, "Not yet."
