The 'Thing'...

... that lives in the fridge.  The sourdough reservoir starter (rye) that has been growing since the 28 August and has kept spinning off the starters for weekly sourdough loaves of various types.  This photo taken to show the first recipient of a batch of starter what they might expect if, in its new home, it behaves like it does here.
