Discards

I worked at a school and retired after 30 years. This year every book in the library was removed and most tossed in the trash. It was a very large library. Books were offered to students, employees and retires as well as some outside establishments. Some books found homes but it was so hard to see the dumpsters overflowing with books. I find it a bit worrisome they are going 100% electronic. I guess I'm just to old to be completely dependent on computers. 
Anyway I saved about 60 and passed them out to people I thought may enjoy adding them to their collections. I found a home for some lighthouse books with a friend of mine in AR. I plan to send them out tomorrow.
