Council housing on the edge of West Pilton, basking in the winter sun as i presume the planners and architects intended with this open southern aspect.

To my eye, this flow of pavemented streets that traditional city planning creates is a far more natural layout for flaneuring and community building than the current trend of placing isolated blocks of flats within their circle of parking connected by snaking roads that it is frustrating to have to walk along.
