Patterns...

...the theme for today’s abstract Thursday. I took this in the hallway of the cancer center as I liked both the pattern of the window frames as well as the curve.
Tom had blood drawn & an EKG done this morning in preparation for starting his new medication tomorrow. We met with both the nurse & the pharmacist to go over all the instructions & potential side effects—many of them life-threatening. Tom, who’s never lost his sense of humor through any of this, told them he had no problem taking it, as “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger”; then he said: or with MY luck it’ll probably be more like if it kills you, you won’t have to worry about getting stronger”!
