Back to the Future

The most timeless mid-winter festival in the world includes water parades, allegorical floats, masked balls and night parades, and opens this year on 9 February. I visited the Venice Carnival with a photographic group many years ago before the digital era.  Today a boxed scanner I'd ordered through Ebay arrived and I've started the task of digitising the best of my transparency library to dispense with all the bulky folders cluttering up the place. It is as good as new at a quarter of the price of a new one. I downloaded an article by technical blogger Sam Mallery which made it s--ooo easy to get underway. Thanks Sam!
